Default WTD: Help installing new radio/ Modifry/ Speakers

Having decided that the S2000's audio is flea powered and unusable above 35mph with the top down.....

I would like to get an Ipod friendly Head unit and a Modifry gizmo to use the dash controls.... and whatever I need to make some decent sound ( new door speakers?? and new roll bar speakers?? ) - maybe I need a power amp????

So... help needed to sort out what I need.... and to help with an install is appreciated.
( payment of more than beer tokens offered )

Thanks in advance

HAve you looked at modifry replacement roll hoop speakers?

If yours is the MY07 then I assume you have the standard hoop speakers and the solid head rest. I know some people have fabricated a centre for the hoop and wired a speaker into it but personally I'm not keen.

Better main and small door speakers would help, my small door speakers buz and vibrate.

Its a bit out my way but if puppy isn't 100% happy on doing it himself then i will be more then happy to help if need be.

I would suggest that you get the parts first,

Head Unit is the obvious first install. Many people have gone with the Alpine IDA-X100 (inc myself). A fantastic HU but some dislike the fact it has no CD player. I would personally stick with Alpine though for a HU.

Door speakers are the next upgrade if you wish to continue. 6 1/2" components. Many to choose from, I have a set of In Phase and they are fantastic.

Mine are amped but will be fine off the HU.

I also have roll hoop speaker brackets with a set of MB quartz components.

You already have tweeters in the roll hoops IIRC so i would stick with them.

Before you buy and amp i would just upgrade the HU and door speakers and go from there.

Everyone has different expectations of what a good ICE set up sounds like but i can assure you that this is more then enough for top down action with very nice sounds.
