They are the new chav must-have vechicle. Only problem is they're pretty fast, and will be worth f*ck all in a couple of years. That means there's going to be a LOT more of them than there are now.
They aren't worth much now. My mate bought his Evo 7 FQ300 2 years ago for 26k and is now very bored - he was offered 13.5k from the dealers. He'll be lucky to get 15k from a private sale.

I forgot about the run! I haven't heard from them though.

I'm still full of flu, so not up for 4 hours round trip, but the real problem was that Amanda has got my flu now, so she couldn't help with the driving. It's a shame as I was up for a bit of a jam with Andy

You talk some sh1te Gaz My dad drives a Subaru Forester is he a Chav? The family down the road have a WRX estate to take the kids out in.

Maybe you should drive these cars before writing them off. If I needed a four seater car I would have another Impreza turbo no problem. Why should I give a sh1te if someone thinks I'm a chav because I drive a certain type of car.

I get the feeling you drive down the road thinking how great you are because you drive an S2000 with a smug grin on your face, thinking "I'm so much better than the rest of you scum".

Your S2000 is also a Jap wagon like the 200sx, the Scooby, the Evo, the Supra etc. it too, will be worth **** all in ten years time, and will be driven by chavs. Get used to it

Spotty kids have no interest in Forresters mate, just Impreza's; which are tacky (but admittedly fast) pieces of shit. I quite like Forresters as it happens; good honest cars.

I test drove a silver Evo V before I bought the S2000, as it happens. I wanted something Japanese, rare and quick. I wasn't impressed with the quality of the experience though, and the running costs were abysmal. Fine for driving around your local shopping center car park, but not for doing 20,000 miles a year as I was then. Thankfully I went for the S, as that was just when every chav and his Elizabeth Duke'd up bird started importing Evo's by the shipload.

I do take a bit of pride that my car is quick out of the box, comes in a colour other than WRC blue with gold wheels, and doesn't sound like it's missing the latter half of its exhaust system, so yeah I do probably drive about with a grin on my face. I'm a happy chappy for now.

I'm not so sure about the value thing either mate. Sure, you'll be able to pick up an S cheap in a year or two, but like most specialist motors you'll still pay decent money for a good one. S2000's aren't ten a penny like Evo's and Impreza's either so it's not going to be as worthless as they will be/are. And you can only fit two chavs in an S, and we all know they never travel in less than groups of three for security.

Chavs historically never go for convertibles too (the odd BMW 3-Series and Ford Escort aside), so I reckon the S will get a bodyswerve from the Burberry brigade. And by the time they can afford one I'll have moved onwards and upwards anyhow so they can do what they like.

Boys! all care are lovely some are just a bit nicer than others. There is no point in comparing 2 seater sports cars with 4 seater saloons.

BTW saw 2 Nobles in Cardiff at the start of the Rally (Cardiff West Services). Apparently v diff to fill with fuel judging by the amount on the floor under one of them.
Also saw a scooby at the same time, driven by a nice bloke and v shiny so there you go.

Am I right in saying that the Evos only go 4000 miles between service intervals?

You think evos and scoobys are ten a penny???

Maybe you should try moving to grantham, not only have we got about 9 evo's in town we also have a big scooby dealership, so imagine how many subarus that gives us?? To top it all we also have grantham honda that must push out more s2000s than anywhere in the uk!!

Trust me i love me s2 but it isn't exactly a rare car, thankfully its mainly driven by middle aged to old men in grantham oh and 1 nightclub owner!!!

As for the evo vii not bein worth that much money, maybe its because it was never released in the uk so it was only an import, not many people liked the look of it compared to the evo vi, oh and we're now onto the evo ix. How much is a v reg s2000 worth now compared to its original value???

Most people change the ayc fluid on them every 3000, and usually do the oil as well, all depends how hard you drive it
