Congrats on decision, but if you're going to buy new you should probably have a go in a '02 model first. The VTEC crossover is much less marked in pre-'02 cars and, unless the dealer's applied the '02 suspension geometry changes to the car you drove, the handling will be a little different: the rear should be a little softer.

I think you'll find that red is not only the fastest, but the most attractive colour for the English countryside, the spiritual home of the S2000....
