The M3 is different because it actually comes as a coupe, so you actually have the option of buying the better looking, lighter/faster, better handling version rather than getting the flawed horrid 4 seat convertible

Nice exhaust + roof down = joy

Despite the variable weather, I've had the top off loads. I'd never consider putting the H/T on before deepest winter.

I think most people buy it because it's a soft top, where some of us bought it for the rest of the car. I'd have bought a coupe if they did one. Age old discussion this one!

Mine doesn't have a hard top so that idea is out for me, but the last S only had the roof back on to back as a trade in.

First time round, one of the reason I bought an S was the soft top. But, I reckon that maybe the second and definitely the third time round I would have bought a coupe if it was an option.

Last time my HT was on was in 2006, for two days after I bought the car..........still have some top down days in deepest darkest winter!!!

i keep getting caught in the rain, but i just go faster then

and of course the time last week the ht was on and i had no one to help get it off it was like being in an oven

i went from a convertible into a coupe, and am glad to be back in a convertible. i like have the option of putting a hard top on, but i like having the roof off. it make sthe drive far more involved. can;t beat a late night topless run or a crisp winter morning blitz.
