Have emailed the dealer the picture Marcus posted as they didnt have a clue what I was talking about on the phone; waiting to get it booked in now & then fingers crossed.
Feeling confident based on the number of people that seem to have the same issue on a relatively new car; tut tut, really not very good especially as they dont seem to have fixed the problem in later models.
Has anyone de-burred the offending piece of frame themselves, or does the burr only affect some frames??

So it will just happen again on the new one? Bugger!
Shopman's tape obviously works, but dont expect to have to do it; I'm not driving a 1960's classic car!
Is it the movement of the roof going down that causes it, or the rubbing when the roof is lowered & car movement causes it?
If the latter, I'd presume using the tonneau would stop this level of movement due to tight fit??
As much as I love the car & 6 sec roof, Honda seem to have a few roof probs & the worst tonneau I have ever seen!!

It's not a question of deburring, the problem is the frame is too close to the hood.
The more you raise and lower the hood and if you leave it in the stowed position for long periods of time (ie with a hardtop on) then the worse the wear is going to be.

Thanks Lower
So if I push to get the frame changed as well, has anyone established if the latest batch of roof frames are free from the sharp edge? If the frame is of the same batch I will be back here again in another year or so, surely?
Is it safe for me to take a file to the edge if the dealer will only replace the roof?
Thanks

Just not a fan of the visual aspect of the tape in a new (ish) car.
To me, it will stand out like a sore thumb; unless it blends in more than I am expecting it to?
Guess I will have to do it on the next hood to be sure it lasts.
Really stupid question.....is there a difference between duct tape & gaffer?
