Default Work Emotion CR Kiwami's

Hi all,

Thinking about buying myself some works. These ones in particular. I've done some research and I think I'll be going for:

Fronts
18 x 7.5” +47 offset with a 215/40 R18 tire

Rears
18 x 8.5” +47 offset with a 245/35 R18 tire

Because of the offsets, the front tires are going to 'stick out' 14mm more at the front and 18mm more at the back. This doesn't sound much and I'm assuming it will be fine, but to be honest I'm finding it really hard to visualise it!

The other thing that's bothering me is what the wheels will actually look like! The pictures always show the wheels having that nice concave look, but I suspect that the front wheels will have quite a flat face. What if they look cr*p?

I suppose I'm looking for some reassurance really, what do you think?

Thanks

Fronts will be fine,

I run +45 on my fronts with a 225/40. Only just catches plastic liner on mega bumps but im 25mm lowered. Rears im not sure, may be a bit much. I have +52 255/35 and its close but safe.

Great looking wheel by the way

These are fantastic looking wheels! I researched wheels to death and decided that these were the ones for me. Great looking, reasonable price, and not Enkei RPF01s haha! When I get back from my holiday I am gonna order a set. Will keep an eye on this thread and see what offsets are recommended

I agree they are good looking wheels, just hoping the front ones look as good as the back!

Zud - are you running 7.5" wheels at the front too? Do they stick out much?

These look good. What about 17" fitment? Looks like they only do 8J ET47 which is fine, but if you want a 9J on the rear ET38 is the closest they do. Will that need a lot of arch work?

Or maybe non-staggered 8J wheels is a better way to go?

Good find, I really like these too!

Im on 8" front 8.5" rears. Your rears will look more dished than front but still a good look at that width.

They stuck out slightly at first but that was sorted when i lowered it as it pulled the tops in, they now sit perfectly in line with arch.

So with a +47 youl have no issue as it will just stay within the arch line.

That was AlexJG/AlexGJ's car. His were CR KAI not KAIWAMI though, the latter of which are much rarer.

That fitment will fit fine, just go for it. My XD9's were much lower offset and wider, they did need an arch roll but yours wont. Take a look at the wheel fitment thread I created in my sig for some more help.

Rich, I have the CR Kai's and run front: 17x7 ET 47 with 215/45 Yoko's and rear 17x8 ET 47 with 245/40 Yoko's with no issues and these are available in the same sizes/offsets.

Thanks for your comments everyone. I've just placed an order!

The rears are in stock but unpainted, so it's going to take between 3 to 4 weeks for them to arrive.
