Just wondered how long you've had the g/f and how long the S?

If the S came before the g/f then I would only expect the question if it's been a short relationship (she knew the competition ). If not then maybe she is feeling a bit neglected, and if her friends have suggested things too her then she has obviously been talking about it - so it's a problem

Maybe you need to buy one for her to take care of

To be fair - and the voice of reason here - she doen't want to feel second best- and obviously she does.

Put a bit more effort into the relationship i.e. take her out to lunch in the S - and try to spend time on it when she is busy i.e. out shopping with the girls - to use a cliche you lot will understand

You could even try the old - unexpected flowers routine - works with me every time!

Getting upset because you 'had to think about it' is a typically girly over -reaction - and she will get over it - much as I hate to diss my fellow babes.

The S is a beautiful machine and me ofer alf and I love it to bits - but all it will take from you is a bit of effort - and thought - something alot of men don't do very well! and you get both - what more could you ask for!

I got the p*ss ripped out of me for a week when my S2KI membership card came for being an anorak - but he doesn't begrudge me my time in it. Every relationship is a compromise!

Good luck!

H x

tell her to sort herself out, or ship out.......that kind of question is of the 'do these make my arse look big' and quite frankly I'd have a go at her for being unfair and putting you in that position...I think you need to explain the pecking order to her again.....

Many, many years ago I got this question - but it was about a BSA 650 Lightning motorbike.

I sold the bike, bought an engagement ring with the money and later married her. The S2000 didn't exist in those days -

if it did I would still be a free man!!!

Yikes, bad question that, my g/f loves my lude and an S2000 is indeed her 'wanted' car as well, so hopefully it'll never arise

My girlfriend loves me and likes the car, but if she asked me to get rid:

1. Its a company car so impossible
2. She would need a valid reason e.g. we had no money

She would never ask me to get rid, cause I spend too much time with car or get me to choose between her and the car, why should she?

Confuses me really. Why would it matter what car it is?
