Wiring the standard ECU to a Westfield
OK guys, I know a few have done it and Im ready to do the same over the next few weeks, Im armed and ready for action with the stock ECU and engine harness from a 2004 F20, I also have the key and immoboliser unit on the steering column and loads of wiring diagrams.
I havent got the cabin/dash harness but thats ok as far as I can see as I can still connect to the pin outs I need for the few items that are powered from thet plug 'A' (like fuel pump and RPM counter)
My question at the moment is ive read a few articles that the ECU enters limp mode if it doesnt see certain sensors that clearly arent going to be on the car, so Im specifically looking for help about how to get round these, ie do I need to short anything or wire resistors anywhere?
Any help will be mightely gratefully received
thanks in advance

You'll need the following sensors available to the ECU:
Speed
Water Temp
VTEC Oil Pressure
Primary O2
Cam (x2)
Crank
TPS
MAP
IAT
The car will happily run without the dash so you'll have no issues there.
The immobiliser is Fuel pump based anyway so if you bypass that, you won't have to worry about the key chip.
You really would be better off binning the stock ECU and running OMEX/Emerald.
I assume you are running the S2000 box and not a type9?
