Default Wing mirror wiring help

Hello

Am just replacing my wing mirror that got smashed, problem is that the new one has extra wires that my old one didn't. I suspect the new one is heated where as mine wasn't. 4 of the wires are the same colour so would it be as simple as taking swapping over the connectors and ignoring the extra wires? Since there are 2 brown wires how would i know which one to put where?
Some photo's are below.

Facelift models have heated mirrors I believe, so you probably have a couple of 04+ ones :-)

The two black wires are your heating element wires.

I assume you still ahve the old mirror (and the old connector, so i'd say cut the 'new' connector off, seal off your black wires and re-wire accordingly.

Aside from that, if you do decide to bin off the 'new' connector, can I have it please? (I'll pay you!) Mine has gone walkabout!

Yeah that's what I was thinking, just not good with wires and confused by the two brown ones and if it would matter if they got mixed up. May try and just take the cowel off and swap it over.

Sound_wave, no problem, pm me with your address and will post it once i've figured out what to do

The spade connectors are different, between the models they have changed from male to female. Grr. Any reason I couldn't just cut the wires and use 5amp bullet connectors?

Thanks for the help. Used bullet connectors in the end and works a treat. Told the other half that if she smashes another one then she can fix it herself. Truth be told, in the end it's not that bad a job to do, there's a good guide if you use the search function. I now have a 03 wing mirror that fully functions but with a smashed cowel if anyone is interested.
Sound_wave - I butchered the connector up a bit trying to get the wires out but will send it you anyway, if I don't get chance over the next few days then it won't be until I get back off holiday 2nd week of October
