wind noise at right ear
hi,
was out for blast tonight and was hearing some wind noise by my right-ear - not sure if it was the door/hardtop or what...
anyone got any ideas?
i've only had the car for 11 days and i'm still getting used to it - i know there will be more noises than in a "normal" car but this definitely sounded like wind, not a rattle or anything.
cheers,
billy

At what speed do you get the wind noise? I get a sudden increase in wind noise from the hardtop once I go much over 90, depending on wind direction, but at slower speeds there's nothing abnormal. Stupid question, but you're sure your window is up properly?

I think that is fairly common in most cars, MJ's Saxo does the same above 100. Saves looking at the speedo
I had an odd noise coming from my passenger side, it turned out to be a bit of foam padding that sits between the hood and the metal support just behind the window. It flapped around at speed and knocked against the window. Just poked it back in to fix it.. took me a while to diagnose it though as it wasn't visible in the passenger side mirror.

Some people with hard tops have had problems getting them to sit flush. Apparently they can distort (buckle) if they are not stored quite right or something. Come on hardtop owners.. there has been a bit of discussion on this before hasn't there??
Are the catches looking worn where the hard top fits onto the top of the window? Does it look flush from the front?
