Wind Noise?
Hi All!
Is it normal to expect a fair amount of wind noise in the cabin? I was doing over 100 on a private road of course and experienced a fair amount - the roof was up BTW and the wind noise was not of the flactulence type

there will be quite a lot of wind noise, but it would be worth pulling down on the handle in the middle of the hood header rail at that sort of speed to see if there is any reduction in noise levels.
sometimes the hood catches wear and don't clamp the hearder rail onto the top of the windscreen as hard as it should be which results in more wind noise.

It can be massively reduced with new roof catches and strikers apparently, you can see if you need this by physically getting a passenger to pull on the central grab handle when its really bad and if you need new latches you will notice a substantial difference!
I need some but I refuse to go to a stealer, I will find my own solution

too slow rusty pants!
you can try swapping the strilkers on the windscreen top rail left to right as they only seem to wear on one side. worked for me.
Other people have had success putting flexile small bore tube over the hooks on the catches to increase their size a bit.

i fixed both problems. one i got some tube and covered the hooks. then swapped the strikers over.
Now to stop the rattle from the catch. I found with mine it was the side plates that was loss and rattling away. I could not find away to tighten them up so i got some BLUE TACK and pressed it between the plates. Works a treat.

I'm also finding that its only the driver side catch that makes the annoying rattle over bumps! Is that common for you ladies and gents?
There's a service bulletin (03-023) which addresses this. I'm sure it's hosted here somewhere but if not drop me your email address and I'll mail it to you.
