Raf,

That's right! Drill through the secret compartment lid using the indentations as markers. Fit the locking nuts in the countersunk holes underneath the lid and then screw the bolts through the top of the lid.

Easy!

You got a good price on the deflector, I foolishly purchased mine from Honda direct.........

Nice one, just as I thought but as there is drilling involved I thought I had better check.

The screen didn't come with the nuts but i've got some that fit.

Thanks for the advice and link

I actually placed the screen up to the lid positioned marked the top of the lid made some very small pilot hole and then lifted the lid and drilled the correct size wholes and fitted. Then I knew exactly where the screws were needed. Just My 2 pence worth

Got mine today too.
Didn't get nuts, but did get bolts attached.
If you don't have the bolts, then I assume you don't have the two little bolt cover tabs which sit over where the bolts fit to cover them up.
Bolts look to be M6 by 20mm long - need to find some nuts myself.

One word of warning. When I drilled, the chuck touched the arched supports of the secret compartment lid (drilling from below), not a biggy but might upset some people.

Do they need to be waterproof!

Have some bolts that size but I know they will rust!

The OEM ones in my hand look to be stainless.
