The fact that one is still in business and the cheaper one isn't tells it's own story.

Isn't Center Gravity (slightly) closer to you?
Been to both in the past. Both did top jobs, one just cost twice as much as the other.

I was really impressed with Tony @ WIM last time I went.
Except if one's 100 miles nearer, it's ain't twice the price...

That's not the whole story, Rich. More to do with a partnership not going as planned IIRC.

From WiM's website http://www.wheels-in...showtopic=10467

We recently entered into a "trial" collaboration sharing some excellent workspace and facilities and prospects with a new Wheel Refurbishment Company in Milton Keynes. Unfortunately and due to circumstances beyond our control we have decided to withdraw from this operation as there was a potential for a "conflict of interests" and we did not want to do anything that would jeopardise our good name and integrity. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause but we are acting in the best interests of our company/companies.

I'm having my geo done (as well as getting some holes drilled in my new US sourced suspension arms for the headlight units) as well as some toe arms fitted on Friday, all at an excellent price. It was as busy (and friendly) as ever when I was up there on Saturday booking myself in.

Fortunately, they are only 8 miles from me

Will the MK operation keep trading as Atomic Wheels and Tyres?

I'd drive another 100 on top of that to avoid another 'test drive'

Nah, to be fair I may use him next time. I couldn't get in last time I tried. Shame he doesn't offer a no frills service for repeat business.

Same settings etc....

There are a couple of places with Hunter in Northampton. If you gave them the measurements you want I am sure they could get them spot on for you for around £100

I was going to say what Tommy said. I know these guys have good reviews, but any place that has a hunter machine and someone how knows how to use it will do. There is one in Corby (Corby tyres) that both my work and myself uses. I Just gave him the settings I wanted, and he got them spot on! Think it cost me around £100 too.

Hmm ok I'll have a think about that option then. Can always use settings I've had in the past. Also I suppose if I do it that way if I get any rubbing then its easier to go back for a re-adjustment.
