THIS WILL BE the new RoadieMobile!
It took a long time to find a car I'd actually like to drive other than the S. Nothing will compare to my S2000, but my needs are changing, of course.
First it was a Navara pick-up. All sorts of reasons to say "yes" including additional business use, huge boot ( ) and a real chunky Arran-friendly vehicle.
But, no.
I needed a bit of refinement, four doors, four seats, a bit of power, a bit of luxury, a bit of good looks, a bit of that exclusivity and a bit of that "No, my business isn't suffering,....we're having a baby next year".
We are also hoping to move next year, so we looked at these possible cars:
Honda Accord - way too big. Jeez, has anyone successfully parallel parked in one?
Honda Civic - the type R was the only option. Still two doors and fiddly with a baby.
Saab - We looked. We hated.
Nissan - No thanks
Toyota - Nope. Nothing very interesting
Ford - Don't be silly
Skoda -
BMW - Nope.
Then we went mad. How about
Chrylser Sebring - there was one on Autotrader for
