Default THIS WILL BE the new RoadieMobile!

It took a long time to find a car I'd actually like to drive other than the S. Nothing will compare to my S2000, but my needs are changing, of course.

First it was a Navara pick-up. All sorts of reasons to say "yes" including additional business use, huge boot ( ) and a real chunky Arran-friendly vehicle.

But, no.

I needed a bit of refinement, four doors, four seats, a bit of power, a bit of luxury, a bit of good looks, a bit of that exclusivity and a bit of that "No, my business isn't suffering,....we're having a baby next year".

We are also hoping to move next year, so we looked at these possible cars:

Honda Accord - way too big. Jeez, has anyone successfully parallel parked in one?
Honda Civic - the type R was the only option. Still two doors and fiddly with a baby.
Saab - We looked. We hated.
Nissan - No thanks
Toyota - Nope. Nothing very interesting
Ford - Don't be silly
Skoda -
BMW - Nope.

Then we went mad. How about

Chrylser Sebring - there was one on Autotrader for

They can have that image, I suppose. It doesn't worry me. I'll be getting the full spoiler kit and a couple of interesting decals for it. I looked at the CRV, but there are just too many around and I really think the Nissan X-trail is better. Trouble is, I need Janine to be able to drive my new car and having something smaller is better.

Always liked the look of the Lexii (with the exception of the crap cabrio).

Good luck with the hunt.

Lexus has a stand at JAE and it makes me laugh how some of the guys have modded them.

It just doesn't look like the sort of car to rice.

I've always thought of them as wannabe performance cars. They're horrifically slow, but I suppose the 300 has some poke.

Have you not considered the RX8?

Haven't they got pretty horrendous depreciation? If so, maybe a 12-18 month car would be a better bet. How about the V6 IS300 Sportwagon - they're cool.
