Default Why is the 04 so upright?

Having seen one in the flesh plus the piccies from new owners, the 04 appears to have a wheel arch gap problem and Honda have been a touch crafty in their brochure, if you look at the side on view of the NB blue with the top down it looks great and thats how the wheels should fill the arches, the same with the pic of the NB blue with the kit on it, it looks really puposeful. But in the flesh it looks like Starskys Ford Torreno. all jacked up. Why have they done this? is it something to do with the slight softening that people have reported? Or is it because its new, have you new 04 owners seen it settle down? All standard S's could do with loosing an inch, cant understand why they didnt sort this out with the 04.

I wonder if any of them have had their 'spring spacers' left inside them?

Has the suspension changed that much then?

a by-product of the softer suspension will be more travel vertically so there needs to room for the wheel to go up and down

just talked to a lady with a MY04 - (she had a MY01 prior to this one) - she reckons the ride is much more stable - but a lot higher

It's because we're all slim, fatties.

Seriously, would the car lower slightly after use? All the 04s that have been measured will barely have been run in. All the previous models are probably into 5 figure mileage.

I guess all cars "settle" a little - but I doubt by much
