Perhaps I should say "why do you own/want to own a CF bonnet"?
Because I haven't seen very many alloy vented bonnets.

At least on other cars people can pretend it's about weight saving.
I just think they look cool and make the car look a little raced up!

Plus, I could put it either on MY00 or MY04.

Anyone own a C-West CF Bonnet?

I have the VARIS one on my car.

You can have a look at it on www.varis.co.jp. I've had 2-3 carbon bonnets on the car and I think the closest one in terms of quality to the VARIS one was Mugen. The C-West one seemed rather flimsy, the J's one was the same, the Vis Racing one did not fit too well.

Just my 0.02.

we can compare engine bay temps after a few laps in germany

last time my oil temp was 120C.. and that's with the vents, a massive J's radiator and removing the undertray.. so god knows what temps a standard car will be running

Yeah I use Redline power steering fluid. I don't know if it is any better than the usual stuff. I don't think I steer hard enough to notice the difference. ;-) Changed out the power steering fluid as it was really dark and probably needed a service. Helps when you are a Redline dealer. :-)

That's the VARIS carbon bonnet on my S2000.

Kobe : 120 deg C seems to be awfully high oil temps for the S2000. Mine seem to run between 70-80 deg C with the mods I have listed. What oil do you use?

Clanger - the S2000 doesn't use any power steering fluid as it's electric. Are you talking about the clutch fluid by chance?
