I virtually always choose the Fiesta if its wet weather.
FWD feels much safer, especially if in a hurry.

Rain is OK.
Standing water is not!
Cold and rain gets a bit interesting on S02s.

Overall it is not my number 1 choice of car for winter driving but I still like it!!!!!!

I quite like the wet cos you can get the arse out at slower speeds and you don't shred the tyres as much, but i have to agree about standing water.

earlier this year had a downpour on the M62 and the rears were at the end of their life and i was getting wheel spin at 50MPH.
Last Friday coming up the M5 the standing water was bad, and if i couldn't find a comercial vehicle to follow (Let them shift most of the water form the road for you) then i backed off to 70.

Gary

(P.S.) thats KPH obviously.

Don't mind the rain too much and my S is the only car I'd prefer to drive anyway. I bent a 'loaner' Civic on a wet road the other week, though it wasn't that wet and I wasn't going quickly at all. Though I can only guess at the cr*ppy tyres it must have had fitted, give me the S any day after that experience

Has made my wet weather drving a lot more cautious and even get a bit under-confidant in pouyring rain now. Thinking about getting some Eagles for winter use.

Oh it was pouring rain at the time - these were taken afterwards as it cleared up. A big patch of standing water on the M25 - apparently a know aquaplane spot according to the police

Resolve hopefully! I think re-slopeing it might add to the problems..

Where abouts on the M25 was it?? North or South?
