I love the wet, your right dws, you have to be switched on. You can still drive fast in the wet though. Its just a case of carrying speed through the corners and not appling any power until your more or less straight. All good fun.

The Goodyear tyres stay soft at lower temperatures which makes them better for wet/cold days as they flex when the S02s are still hard, I'm not so sure water dispersal is any better though.
Water dispersal on the S02s isn't too bad, I did a trackday at Llandow last year in torrential rain and the tyres were fine, but it was a warm day and the tyres were soft, in the cold they demand a lot more care.

On balance, I don't mind the S02s in the wet, but at this time of year, when it's wet and cold, the Passat has more days out than the S2000.

I have done 2 track days at Llandow in the 7 - the first (last year too) was so bad I had 2 inches of water swooshing about in the cab! Great experience though

I don't mind the car in the rain - it demands more concentration.

The snow however is another matter.

I don't mind rain at all, actually quite good fun. What I hate is torrential rain and standing water, after all that I have read, I am quite scared of aquaplaning.

Snow.... The S is my only car and I do not even want to think about what could be ahead over the next few months especially in the time of the deep freeze

Moderate rain / wetness is good fun (SM3 for example).

Torrential rain and standing water are another matter altogether - I really dont like that at all - I have had more than 1 instance where the car has aquaplaned and somehow this is far more scary in the S than in a 'normal' car

Did a nice bit of back end out this morning on wet roads just demands car and attention and an area with no real obstacles..

Wouldn't do it when there is enough water to aquaplane on tho..
