Default Where to mount a track day camera on a s2000?

Hey guys,

I've got a bullet camera and a proper clamp mount for it. On my old car I just mounted it to the head rest or roll cage, but on the s2000 I just can't find anywhere to clamp the camera to?

I'm out at Castle Combe this saturday, and really want to film it for nostalgia value. However, when I try to tighten my clamp mount on bits of plastic it ends up squashing the plastic down and I'm worried I'm going to ruin the car.

I've seen loads of video's of s2000's on track, so the question is - where do people mount their camera's? and how do they mount them?

Any pics of the mounts / camera position etc will be appriciated.

Thanks,

Paul

I've seen them mounted on the centre console, just fwd of the wind deflector (if you have one).

Check Modifry out too:

Windscreen suction mount for me too. You can probably clamp a bullet cam mount to a Sat Nav mount?

Interesting, I thought most track days wouldn't let suction mount.

I think it depends on the organiser. Best to get in touch first I'd have thought.

I think we're gonna drill the glovebox thing in the centre ... When I've looked inside, there are recesses that look like they can be drilled out.

Will then fit a bracket on this and the camera onto that. Need to find a wind deflector to cover the holes when not on track

you CAN'T use suction type camera mount on trackday, it's not allowed, no matter how strong it is, a fixed type mount is needed, i have one replaces the wind deflector, which i think is the best choice.

Don't drill anything!

Remove the wind shield between the seats, make a U-shaped bracket like this and use the two exising mounting holes.
