Hi

I am coming up to the first service since i bought the car, 27,000 miles.

Can anyone suggest somewhere good to get it done in or near Leicester? I was hoping to get the geometry checked as well.

i get my car serviced at kettering honda, but only because i did a deal when i bought the car that meant servicing is free. i wouldn't recommend them though.

francis honda in narborough has a very mixed reputation. so i'm afraid i can't really give you too much help!

I've used Lookers Nottingham a couple of times (not servicing though), and have been pretty impressed. They got a decent review in the dealer survey too.

I used Lookers Nottingham, they alos have one in Derby.
Not perfect but better than Francis in Leicester or Mount Sorrel.

I bought my car from Market Harborough and the old servicing receipts are from Kettering.

Lower - You don't happen to know the lawn mower guy who had a silverstone do you ?

i met him once as it happens. I seem to remember it was a red interior and had a S200o plate on it. i'm not suprised he had one, remembering how much he charged me for a mower drive belt!

it looked like a nice car, considering that it had been an insurance write off at one point!
























only kidding! he seemed like an enthusiast and the car looked very nice. It was obviously his pride and joy! i'd just got mine back from having a new engine fitted under warranty so we had quite a chat about that. he seemed like a decent guy.

The plate was S999 MOW. I've changed that now though.

Surprised he charged you a lot for a mower belt considering I knocked

I have had very bad experiences with Francis in Leicester - I would stay well away!

I have consistently positive experiences with Lookers Derby - the guys there are ace - always pleasant, polite and nothing is ever too much trouble. Its well worth the 50 mile journey IMHO.

I was there today in fact to get a warranty job done on the windscreen washer switch - they gave me a courtesy car but waived the insurance cost (

Bob Gerard don't do servicing, as far as I know. They specialise in supplying Euro imports of all Honda cars - and do a particularly good deal on the S2000
