Where else to look for a2000?
I've been keeping my eye out for a S2000 for a while now, mainly on ebay, pistonheads and autotrader, but not having much luck. Is there anywhere else I should be looking?
I've been to see a few, posted on here requesting some advice which has been most helpful. But either the seller isn't willing to do a deal, the car isn't up to scratch or the seller simply doesn't reply!!
Thanks in advance,
Graeme

Plenty of S2000's for sale, and your hitting all the right sites. It's either one or a combination of the following.
Budget, are you wanting too much for the budget you have, and therefore no car is really going to please. The more £ you have the easier it becomes.
Distance to view a car? Big different from <100 and >100 miles catchment area.
Looking for specific colour/spec/mileage/history?

That's probably my problem, I'm very fussy with condition etc
Basically, I'm looking for a red 2004 > 2006 model, black interior, with less than 40k on the clock, full service history and all of that good stuff. Don't need a hardtop. No set budget, but up to £10k for the right low mileage mint car, so should be ok with that.
Probably just a waiting game.

Keep looking mate, one will come up.......I was looking for a good while and my budget was much less than yours. I looked at some terrible cars advertised as "mint condition" with clueless owners. I got very negative about finding a good one but found one in the end.
My advise is to check the places your looking 2 or 3 times a day. You have to be quick if its a good one.
You probably need to be prepared to travel.

Going to pick up a car long distance is part of the fun. Get it inspected by a local garage or dealer before you go then you pretty much know the problems with the car and can bargain accordingly.
My S2000 was 150 miles away, and we stopped off at the Dales on the way home, which was fun. My Beemer was 200 miles away but at a main dealer.

Funny how people's taste can be so different, red would be the last on my list...
If it were me I'd be knocking on Har-vey's door to buy his white 08 straight away
