Still looking for a second hand S2k. So looking forward to it.

Can anyone tell me when the glass rear window was introduced and give me some info on the other changes that took place at this time? Is there a FAQ somewhere I can be pointed to?

Glass = was in 02

As Warren says, glass was introduced with the slightly revamped 2002 model, which went on sale from November/December 2001.

Other changes contained in that revamp were the introduction of separate tweeters into the door panel, the addition of a CD player as standard and a slight softening of the handling so as to make the tail less prone to snap oversteer

 

as Warren and mark say it was MY02

Is there a detailed list of the changes somewhere? November 01 is a 51 reg - am I right?

Model Year differences

There are a few differences between the MY99 - MY01 models and the MY02 - MY03. The MY04 has further changes and a slight facelift.


MY02 differences

The following changes were made to the MY02 car

Wind deflector as standard
Glass Rear Screen
Cd player with tweeters built into the door
Slightly restyled polished alloys
Chrome rings around the rear lights and chrome front light surrounds
A softer suspension setting which makes the car slightly less "pointy"
Repositioned highlamp washer switch

Some like the suspension changes and others do not, it is probably best to try both cars if you are in the market for a used S2000.
