Default Wheels - Who's got +45 x 9 inch on the rear?

Look for new wheels for this season. The plan is to run 245/40 RE050's all round. Front on 8" and rear on 9". Difficult to find wheels in the UK with high offsets and a decent price (don't fancy whacking an expensive forged wheel on a curb or sleeper).

BTW: part of the reason for 9" rear is I might go mod-prod class later in the year and run slicks which will need a wider rim.

Team Dynamics do a decent cast wheel (Proc Race 1.2 or 1.3) but the biggest offset in 9" they can do is +45. Looking at the wheel and tyre thread in the US forum it looks like that will fit if I roll the arch and move the bumber mounting. Anyone done this? is it tircky.

Otherwise I reckon a 9" wheel in a +50 should do. But can't find anything other than Japanese imports. Anyone got any suggestions.

I saw these 6ULR wheels on the wheel forum and they look great. - https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=761276

Price looks reasonable ($279 per wheel) and I could go 10" at +72 or +52. Weight looks good at under 9kg for the 10". Anyone bought of these guys before? I guess after VAT, import, shipping I'd be looking at £300 per wheel (does that sound right).

Looks promising indeed!

At least they are DESIGNED for the car and suitable for racing. Even at £350 per wheel (depending on unfavourable shipping/exch. rates) they're a LOT cheaper than Japanese Tuna wheels are at the mo.

I think the 6ULR look awesome and, at 17lbs a corner, they'll be very popular. The MX5 crowd went crazy for the 6UL's

I think they have a UK supplier, at least they did have for the 6UL's for the MX5.

Check the offsets vs width here

I think you will struggle with 9" @ +45 IMHO

I'm going to be running Advan RZ 17x9 +45 255's on all 4 corners. Wheels have been sitting here since late December. Waiting for the weather to clear up some...well, that and the need to roll the fenders...or replace. But yes the rear bumper mount has to be moved...doesn't look too tricky.

Cool. What sort of wheels?

When you do it can you send through pics of how you've modified the bumper mount. How will you do the fender roll?

Not my car, it belongs to vividracing.com, but same size/offsets/color. This guy is running 225's in the front and 255's in the rear

My buddy just ordered a fender rolling kit to roll his fenders, so we'll see how it turns out on his car first lol.

Will post pics when they're mounted.
