Are 17" 45 front 48 rear offsets ok?? Also how do people rate Toyo T1R's and Yokohama A539 (heard they are crap in wet!)

Im running 48 in the front and 45 on the rear... (pause for gasps!)

...Which is a very conservative set up. Then again its not like im tracking the car.

Theres a table somewhere that shows you the offsets that are suitable depending on the size/width or rim etc...

...Ill have a look for it

Toyo's are good IMO, good in the wet also. Never had any experiance with the yokos

depends on the width of the wheels....

i'm running 17x7 +42 and 17x8 +47... and i'm slammed with no rubbing..



but the wider your wheels are the higher offset you'll need... the stock offsets are +55 front and +65 rear...

I ran Volks CE28's @ 9" with +48 on the rear with 255 tyres (IIRC) and it rubbed on hard suspension compression.

ive had the yokos and they were good in the drybut horrible in the wet!!

also had the toyos and theyre superb!!

See my sig for wheel width and offsets. No problems even when I had 45mm drop on the front

Oh, and the wheel offset guide referred to above was already in my sig - people should pay much closer attention to my sig

I have used A539's on front drive Escorts quite a lot.
Good tyre, reasonable wear but not upto the standard of tyre munching cars like the S.

If going Yoko's you need something like the AVS

Think Toyo's are the ones for me. I fthey are good enogh for paper lawyer they are good enough for me!
