Thumbs up Wheel weights revisited

Previously I mentioned the clipon weights to the inside rim of the alloys on my 05 S2000. I have now got a photo of one of them at http://www.flickr.com/photos/79385141@N00/225895907/ My question was originally .......... Are these there to balance the wheel before the tyre is put on which is then balanced by the stick on weights? These are original fitments by Mr. Honda.

No ,

I seem to remember everyone agreeing that they are fitted to balance the wheel + tyre included

Have them on mine, would think after the tyre is fitted in Japan.

Looks like typical wheel corrosion inside too, boo.
