whats the update on the wheels marc? any luck with the council ?
I haven't had a chance yet to take pics of the hole. I have found a place in york (20 minutes down the road) who may be able to repair them. Fingers crossed.

totally agree i had a friend who this happened too and he went straight out and took a pic of it, and got money for a new wheel.

if it hasnt got a spray painted circle round the pot hole then it hasnt already been reported, and you have a good case
Same here! This also happened to me. I took a couple of photo's and wrote a letter (aswell as ringing several times) and a got the money within a month.

Good luck

I collected my wheels today and can't even tell where the damage was. The guy said it was very hard to do as the wheels are very strong. When I dropped them off he felt they may well crack when he tried to straighten them. Fortunately he was wrong. .

It cost

Good news Marc. There is a thread somewhere with a list of decent wheel refurb firms. Pop the info in there

Do they x-ray them?

IIRC, it's the only way of making sure there are no hairline cracks.

Best keep a close eye on them, just in case.

Will do, at least if the damaged part falls off the wheel should still be safe.

I remember a guy posting on the NSX website about a piece of rim cracking (looked like a lump of filler falling out, but wasn't) that he'd noticed on it 17" forged OEM. Clearly an over-enthusiastic repair.
