Default Wheel repair, ouch

. On the way home tonight I decided to avoid some road kill on a B road, the result was 2 wheels in a pothole and some sizeable bending . Can alloys, (volks) be repaired. I can't believe they have bent so easily, bugger.

I did exactly the same on my old car, took them to 3 different places and they all said I would have to get new wheels as they'd crack if they bent back to shape and weaken the wheel too much.

Take a photo of the pot hole and try claim off the local council we pay road tax so that our roads can be maintained. My friend had a similar incedent last time he called the council and told them the situation they said they were going to send out the forms and requested him to take photos of the potholes. He then went to do that next day and the bloody bastards had filled in the holes. My friend couldn't claim in the end.

Tell you what, these days ALL councils have special legal teams to deal with such cliams as they as so rife.
You won't stand a chance so don't even waste your hard earned time.

Sh*t happens, and a great shame to lose such nice rims.

You'd be suprised. If the pothole has been reported already and they havent sorted it you may well be able to claim. Its worth a few pictures and a letter IMO

My mate just got paid put by Derbyshire County Council after coming off his bike 3 years ago on some badly rippled road on a corner so always worth a try.

Was going quite fast when I found the hole. Mugen they are le37's, same as te's apart from colour.

I doubt the council will be interested but it's worth a go. It's right on the edge of the road.

I will phone around on tuesday for repairs, there's a place in york I've found on google and if I have no joy either 2 new wheels or go for a new set of something different and ebay the 2 good ones.
