Why are your wheels different from ours?
Our spokes do not go all the way out to the edge of the wheel.
Any ideas?

I've never noticed, believe me though I don't think you want the UK variety - it seems they can be prone to corrosion...

Notice how these spokes do not extend all the way out to the tire?
Our wheels could have the spokes painted a darker color and still leave a "silver" lip around the outer circumference of the wheel.
And yes, it sounds like you guys have had some issues.
So why are our wheels different?

Thanks suvh8r for the pic of your beautiful Spa!

Damned odd!! At first I thought it might be an 02 thing but I know his car is an 01. One thing that springs to mind is that given the edge of the rim lip is canted outwards from the spokes this should give more clearance for tyre fitting machines - is scoring/marking of the spokes by tyre fitters as big a problem in the USA as the UK?

I could not have said it better. All our wheels have been this way, '00, '01 and '02.

Good question - anybody else have thoughts on this difference?

Triple-H who makes the U.S wheel? Mine are Enkei, if yours in the States are a different manufacturer that could explain the difference between the two differing profiles.

I'm thinking BBS but I'm not sure.

But why would they not be the same? All the S2000s are built in the same place.

my JDM wheels are same as the UK ones...bit of a mystery.

maybe its just my imagination - I would say from the pic - the USA wheels are not only different at the outer rim - but the spokes have a bigger curve i.e. they look like they stick out further from the wheel nuts.
