Default wheel ET

Hi Guys

Has anyone tried machining the offset of wheels?

Any thought?

Good idea or bad?

Its just that there is a limited selection of wheels for the S2

in the other 'lowering on these wheels' thread I tell a sorry tale of 9.5 inch wide rears with an et of 38.
They look good now, but an option I suggested was to machine off some hub to get the et the other side of 40.

I was told the max you can machine off is 2-3mm and you're playing with fire if you do that, in terms of wheel strength...
It can't be worth it can it?
