Pasquale,

Pro Grip in Bonnybridge have a very good reputation for setting up alignment might be worth booking a session if you are anywhere near them.

I plan to take mine there in the next month or so.
I took mine to pro-grip. I have to say that it wasn't as good as I'd hoped but it wasn't bad .
John is unlikely to notice a seized bush but ask him to check nonetheless. Pasquale, what's your tread depth on the tyre? Once you get under 4mm it starts to slide around a bit in greasy conditions, at least mine does.
I'd definitely get a Geo done if you've checked everything though, if you don't want to and I'm in Edinburgh some time I'll be happy to give you a second opinion from the pax seat.

Danny, Something to keep in mind, is that the car behaves differently with a passenger in the car, so the OP might need to do a bit more spirited driving than normal.

Unless you have been laying off the pies, you ( as am I to be fair ) are getting close to the weight of the engine..

But it is a great offer, and the OP should bite your hand off.

The car oversteers less (or more importantly understeers more) with a passenger, that's true but you don't need to go to the limits to know that the Geo is out by a long way. I will be able to tell fairly easily by sitting in the pax seat if his Geo is out by a long way. Pro-grip will do a job for

Agreed. But the OP needs to be aware of the change ( to be fair he/ probably is ).... unless you have really overdone the Christmas pies.

All my tyres are getting close to 3mm now. Another 500+ miles and it's time for a change.

Ouch.

I fail to understand this.
You loosen the back nut fully, you try and turn the cam bolt 360 degrees, its that easy to see if it's seized!

Thanks for the offer Boab01, my tire depth is no hwere near the 4mm mark, the tyres were all replaced as a condition of the sale just under 4 weeks ago, ive done less than 500 miles.

I had the car out a bit at the weekend and to be honest I think it was more me being a little nervous than anything else. I will keep on driving however if i am still not confident I will definatly take you up on the offer, presuming thats ok with you

Absolutely no problem at all chap

What tyres did they put on out of interest? If it doesn't say bridgestone on the side walls, this could be the problem

It was Bridgestones, I cant remember the model no. off the top of my head. But it was the ones recommended on this site.

I thought I might have a bit of bother getting the garage to put these on but they actually mentioned it would be the Bridgestones before I specified.

Thanks again
