A nice slow one 6.7 seconds!

Full tank, full boot, passenger and no clutch dump.

Used an accelerometer to measure it.

Spot the lost time at the start and when changing gear.
I've a faster plot somewhere. I'll try and find it.

The most reliable method of timing I've used recently was to video the speedo and later use some editing software to remove every frame before the speed moves from zero and every frame after it hits 62mph...... the resulting video lenght gives a fairly accurate timing.
I wonder if the the S speedo would be accurate at this point ?

i think the weak clutch doesn't help the S2. I had a vectra keep up with me for about 25/30 yards today.. i did then blow him into the weeds really badly but that was enough to annoy me.. a feckin vectra! you'll only make the back tyres let go with real abuse, otherwise the clutch seems to go first.

6.7 seconds, thats slow . I am pretty sure with 18's it knocks at least a second off the 0.60 time.............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I'd wanted a drag racer I would have bought a different car

Accurate in terms of showing the correct speed at 62mph?...... close enough I would have thought?...... general wisdom suggests that at an steady indicated 62mph you should actually be doing 60-61mph.

However in the S I think the speedo has a slight time lag as well so by the time 62 shows on the dash you could actually be doing 65!
