Sorry Ian, there are a LOT of poor farmers out there, and they work bloody hard for what they earn.

They are going bust all the time.

It's murder out there.

Range Rovers clutter up the for sale ads and you can't GIVE land away.

Don't feel stupid. I applaud your honesty

Remember that it was *you* in your stupid fast sportscar that killed his lamb (which is, after all, his livelihood) and, blame aside, he probably is not that well off, like many sheep farmers (and dairy ones, for that matter).

It's always good to own up to it, then it helps reenforce the impression that not all sports car drivers own BMWs and Porsches (if you get my drift ).

Sorry about the car, and I hope you get it sorted soon
The main reason I gave him some money was because in an identical incident 15 years ago I walloped 3 sheep in a Volvo (flock ran out from behind a barn at the side of the road), and my dad sent the farmer a cheque, without admission of liability, for about

It may be different down south, but certainly is tough up here
(was that sarcasm BTW it's so hard to tell anymore)

Give me a farm. I'd make it a success. Guaranteed.

Hmmm, You like the company of men and poor food, Ian?

Euan, IIRC, the bumpers (used to!) come in pre-painted from Honda.

They are expensive though!

Euan, I've got a front bumper lying round somewhere It's in Berlina so you would have to have it painted! its a bit tatty but no scratches or cracks.
