Default whats needed to run the S2K AEM 1012

i am running an aem 1012 ecu in my f20c kit car an was wondering how liitle wiring i need to run the car. all unwanted electrics will be removed so none of the standard fuses or relays will be used, only the bare minimum, lights, horn, indicators, fuel pump and level sender plus clocks and engine loom. there will be no
1;immobiliser
2;air pump
3;audio
4;srs
5;traction control
6;air con
7;all remote locking and door harnesses
i am wanting to get it running but the wiring seems extremely complex. i need to know what is safe to strip from the loom and exactly whats needed to get it running and what needs bypassing in order to work? cheers

I am fairly sure you don't need any of those, just the fuelling / engine / coolant sensor stuff.

What I guess you need is an OEM ECU diagram and the AEM one to compare.

PS you might get better responses on the AEM forums!

thanks mb. i have just tried to register but am waiting for conformation e-mail. i cant find the pin out diagrams anywere! but am not great with auto electrics, especially the ins and outs of an ecu! i much prefer the hands on of building the kit rather than the wiring. i thought from your posts that you would be into specialist track day cars like the radicals etc!

I would be if I didn't like trailers

I'm sure the AEM support people will tell you, I could only have a stab at it based on the ECU wiring diagram.

Someone like Mase or Romain from Artech / Eurospec2000 would know, but you would have to be a customer I expect.

Basically the AEM only cares about running your engine, but it can do other likes like enable your AC etc.

I would think of the engine as a lone part... so you would need injector signals, spark signals, crank sensor, knock sensor, vtec, coolant, air intake temp, MAP etc.

Will see if I can find an old diagram...

Basically your S2000 AEM pins will match each signal from the OEM one, plus there might be some extra / spare channels in there.
