There is a thread on s2000 talk with high mileage ones.

Highest I beleive is close to 300k standard engine!

mine only lasted 53k miles,
hopefully my replacement engine im getting next week will hold out longer.

Parts of mine are still going strong at 122K. The engine went at 95K.

Mileage isn't any indicator. If you're spending all day in 6th gear at 4,000rpm on the motorway, you're going to rack up lots of miles with a small amount of wear.

What might also be interesting is the S with the lowest mileage... or has that been done too??

Guy I work with bought his 99 model 7 years ago on 70k and now it's on 170k. Only thing he's done is new timing chain and tensioner. He's always used mobil 1 oil and he says it doesn't use any oil although he did says he doesn't rev it to 9k which may explain the lack of oil consumption

I wish I'd had the timing chain replaced as that's what killed the engine. I always wonder if I'd had it serviced by Honda they might have said "you need a new timing chain", and saved me a lot of cost and hassle.
