An R plate TVR Griffith 500 with custom manifold and exhaust system
0-60 in about 4 secs then breezes on up to 100 clicks without even straining
The torque in that engine is enough to pull you from 20 mph to 90 mph in 3rd gear in no time at all, it's incredible!
Put the car in second, take your foot off (heavy) clutch and it just pulls away. Never driven anything like it! Shame that bits of plastic and the gear knob were shaking off as I was driving it. And the roof leaked. And the battery has to be left on trickle charge when you aren't driving it, because if it goes flat you can only access it from the passenger footwell.

The fastest accelerating car I've driven was a TVR Tamora, 0-100 in 9.3 seconds. 60-120 mph in the blink of an eye. Scary fast.

Thanks, I now understand.
You mean those little barstewards with the lavatory brush haircuts, pieces of metal fitted on their eyebrows, and white socks.
From what I have seen of those sort, if they had brains, they would be half-wits.
Getting back to the subject, I was passenger on a tyre company test track in 1970, in an AC Shelby 7 litre Cobra which was timed at 0-100 and stop again in under 13 seconds! It was 470bhp, without turbos or full injection. Just dirty great Holley downdrafts sucking and blowing like crazy!
