I also suspect a lot of these posts will be heading to the off topic forum as soon as Ian wakes up.

You have got to have huge cajones to make a run for it.

Looking at it objectively:

Their helicopters won't keep up with you if you have a long enough run
Their cars would need to be doing a rolling start to catch you.
Their bikes might be able to do it but I don't know enough about cop bikes to comment.

So if the next junction wasn't too far ahead, say within a few miles you could probably do it, but it wouldn't half be a gutsy move. My advice would leg it into a big car park like a Tescos or something and get in store real quick.

In reality I'd be crapping myself all the way. Either running (doubtful) or slowing right down (more than likely).

You could always pull over onto the hard shoulder, pull some connections out of the engine and say you have broken down but saw the perpetrator going flying by a few mintues ago.

you can only get done speeding once-

If he's videod you you're ed anyway-no need for them to follow you

If he's not videoing then unlikely to be out with the radar so can't prove anything-but then likely to give pursuit

so you had better shit your pants if he doesn't follow
