I've done exhaust CAI and other mods but the best value for money and the most expensive by far was coilovers. Forget the header and the exhaust and get a set of decent coilovers instead.

The rest is wasted money.

I've heard the Mugen, - definitely deeper and somewhat louder than stock

have similar set up on mine, sounds v good but not mad. louder deeper exhaust a little bit of burble on overrun and the intake growls more.

Add them one by one to appreciate each ones effect.

good choice

Stock ecu runs massively rich. 13 AF is optimum and even with a maifold, decat, catback and CAI at WOT mine is running 12AF below 6000 and as rich as 11.6 upto the limiter!

Gains are minimal with the mods as its well designed and setup as is. Best mod for me would be a Hondata Kpro as you will bag loads more bhp just by leaning it out to optimum AF and therefore also better mpg as it won't be burning so much fuel.

Win win....but

Not on WOT it isn't.

At part throttle AFR should be around 14, wide open it should be around 11.8.

At part throttle AF is 14.7 ish. (14-15AF) ECU is in closed loop and adjusting to this value.

For a NA setup WOT target lambda is 13.
For a boosted setup your after 12.

Anything richer than 12.5 on an NA setup and your just wasting fuel.

You are correct for the setup you have however.

That's gone right over my head.
Will a 'Fluke Capacitor' running on fizzy drinks and banana skins increase performance?

Yeah - the handling is what does it for me also, - but the S already handles well no? How much difference will coil overs make?? Turn it into a VX220??

8ollocks, come and have a spin in my car, which has the full mugen kit on it, CAI/Exhaust/Manifold/ECU, I cant tell you how different the car feels and drives to the standard S, I am not saying there is a huge performance difference but there is a difference and the car is much much smoother. I do however agree that a good set of suspension, perhaps Ohlins or PSS9's if you are on a budget and proper Geo setup will improve the cars driveability!
