Default What will these mods give me?

1. How much different will my car drive after fitting the following (already ordered) (i'm too impatient to wait to find out for myself!):

2004 car with AP1 engine:

Mugen Exhaust
J's Racing decat
K&N Gen II CAI

2. What more will I notice after installing the above - plus a Rick's Header?

3. Also, i've been told on the US forum that my car will run lean, - so do I really need a remap? (i'll have a search now on what a remap will give me).

Performance gains by weight-saving due to a lighter wallet.

Noise, throttle response, weight saving and maybe 3bhp.

Nice set of mods though

I understand these mods don't yeild much, - just wondering if i would net slightly more as they're used in conjunction. Is the addition of the Rick's header worth it?

And will I be running lean??

I personally think you will add about 3bhp at the most. And a wee bit more torque its hard to say without going on a dyno.

Dont listen to the yanks 90% of them know f all, they would tell you you'd get 10whp with those mods.

Ricks header is good, you wont run too lean.

Thanks for the many standard responses

Definitely won't be running lean?

Maybe an ECU upgrade is a good idea anyway to take advantage of these mods?

I'm not bothered about an increase in *peak* horsepower, - but an increase in drivability, and a bit of power accross much of the rev range would be very welcome

The reasons for these mods is mainly noise, as I hate the way the standard S sounds. Everything else about the car is great, - apart from the fact that it sounds like an mx5. Its so much better to drive with just the airbox off, so i'm hoping I will be MUCH happier with the car after these mods are on. Mugen cans look good (& oem) too.
