SB, I would have thought that an AP2 with a displacement of 2.2L would likely have a different piston to an AP1. But, as I don't know I suggest you ask the expert, Ian!

Is it true they made it a 2.2 because the fuel is so rubbish over there?

Also would an ap1 pre facelift become an Ap2 if you fitted an Ap2 engine in it...or does it need the facelift bit lol

Irrelevant, AP2 windscreen is the same as the AP1, ergo your windscreen is AP1.
