I wonder I they have the same argument in the States. People who are trying to sell AP2 wheels get someone who says - "They are also AP1 wheels!".

That's irrelevant. The AP1 facelift coincided with the AP2 introduction.

My car is an AP1 but is has AP2 wings, bumpers, bonnet, boot, seats, steering wheel etc. and you can't prove otherwise because you're a tit weasel.

No it doesn't. It has AP1 wings etc because it is an AP1.
