There you go Paul - decision made. Give the nasty heavy wheels a miss, get a beautifully crafted light-as-a-feather exhaust............and offset some of the cost by flogging the HKS to Shipley.

You've just got a new set of tyres haven't you ? I'd go for the Amuse now, and get the wheels when the tyres are bald.

Not that I fully understand this, but Wheels are unsprung weight, exhaust is sprung. So they won't really cancel each other out. Another good reason to do Amuse and then some proper lighter wheels.

looks like I need to do some sums and see if I can afford the Amuse......

I was going to order it on the basis that eventually I will need to replace the HKS and as I've taken the decision to hang onto the car indefinately might as well plan ahead

I like the blue tips as well!!!

I voted neither, but if pushed, the Amuse (it's a really lovely exhaust but you do already have a HKS so you might as well wait for it to fall off unless you get a good price for it on the board)

As for the wheels and springs - springs are good for dropping the car (but the cost of fitting them (and thus removing them) make them a non-reversible from a cost perspective)

Another consideration is that if you went with the Amuse, you would have a sum of money back from selling the HKS - whereas you wouldn't with the wheels obviously. Might be worth factoring into your equations

isn't just simple question of wether you want you car to look modified or sound modified....

I would be concerned for the ride change with bigger wheels, on the fashion front...I think the 16's may look a bit small compared to other cars that are already upto 18...(RX8)...but I would want to test them on the car first before lashing out big money..and of course that's not easy to arrange. In the end, an F1 car has 13inch wheels and balloon sized tyres..so big wheels can't be always better for the car anyway.
