Difference is, an NSX is an everyday luxury car, with modest running costs.

A TR is not, although the depreciation thing is correct.

It is also the first "Frri" that made me question the whole mythos thing - I have always preferred the BB's looks and find the TR rather vulgar and 80s, if that isn't tautology.

It was the NSX that finally realised that, very special though the cars are, there were not actually very good cars. The bubble was sadly popped.

The 456 & F430 have restored my faith somewhat.

The TR looks are a case of 'love it or hate it' but what can't be denied is it summed up a decade of greed and excess and is a recognisble 80's icon....for this reason alone it is and will remain a classic

In my opinion if you look forward say 20 years I can't see the 360 and onwards being regarded as 'classics'....they are just another 8 cylinder Ferrari...another Ferrari 'bread and butter' car....

I can see the NSX being a classic though...it was unique..a one-off

The mistique of Ferrari has been so eroded over the years that for me it counts for little now when attached to contemporary models......Ferrari is now too commercial

Can you imagine going to Enzo Ferrari and saying they needed to incorporate the facility to stick a set of golf clubs into the car

He'd have told you to **** off

The TR had 4942cc in Eurospec producing 390bhp up to 440bhp I think with the 512M

Wow interesting debate.......

I don't really feel the need to justify my choice of car, it's just right for me for now.
Also to put my choice into perspective, in the 80's I was an abmitious 20 something, and did indeed have a poster of the (then) new NSX on my office wall. I did aspire to own this car, and succeeded some 20 years later My NSX cost me just under

512BB crap?

sorry don't understand.....why is a 512BB crap?
It was the successor to the "Daytona". It was slower, had its engine mounted high in the chassis and handled poorly. Still a beautiful car, but the articles I have read claim its one of the poorest cars Ferrari have ever made.

I will admit that calling a ferrari "crap" is bang of order - I love all of them, but I still believe that the reason ferraris today are better built and no longer difficult or scary to drive is because of cars like the NSX.
