I need to try and get into a car i can be comfortable in for long term, I use this car mostly for pleasure and i want to be able to load it up for buggering off about this country when i get them time.
It also needs to be able to cope with having four people in comfort for some distance and to carry enough in baggage when we go abroad.

What worked for me was a 5 year old low mileage 911 together with a 4 year old low mileage Toyota. The latter gets used in bad weather, for most commuting and general donkey work. The former gets used for those Saturday morning blasts around the countryside, or when I just want to drive...
Keeps running costs and depreciation lower than it would be...

How about holding off for a while and then getting a year old new shape M5, I'm sure they'll be in your price range reasonably soon. Although they will probably continue falling. But all 4 seater cars at that price are going to continue that way.......
A bit off the wall but for less, Vauxhall Monaro VXR!
For me it would a F355 (haven't you been there?) or 911.
ps. stereo all fitted, took me quite a while but didn't rush it! Fiddly little job wiring the doors. If I did the whole system again I would probably dump the spare wheel and put the amps in their and then get the same sub but 10" rather than 8" and put in the tool well. Put loads of dynamat in as well.
Been meaning to pm you actually, you left a coldplay CD in the headunit. PM me your address and I'll mail it back to you.
Cheers
Rob
