It actually exceeds it

Also the one used by Subaru world rally team and the majority of Evo / Impreza owners Bikers like it too I think its the only true 100% ester oil.

API rating is voluntary on engine oil, and bears no relation to the quality - its more energy saving initiative but it does give guidelines to the viscosity etc...

Having to work with API standards every day

Its a double ester, it has 2 ester components simply for their affinity to metal surfaces. PAO base, If the oil was 100% ester it would cost about

Im guessing you work with oil too

I do think regardless of the lack of API rating its a top lubricant. Its the most widely used on some of the very modded cars on scoobynet / MLR.

The API rating does have a performance / economy slant on it. I think its one of the 3 points? SL?

Ive also used it for years now and had no issues which is unsurprising.

True on esters not liking water, but its prob not an issue.

What quality is it missing?

Some of the gas turbine oils I deal with are extremely hydroscopic too which makes a nightmare for storage.

I dont have to sell it - I do because I like it

I still think 30 is a touch thin on these engines too...

What w40 did you change from though?

Mark, going well thanks. Got 3months left in Engine testing then I think I'm going into Technology doing stuff for the future. Might change yet though.
