Hi there
In between services what oil do you guys use to keep your S2000 topped up? I was thinking fully synthetic, something like Mobil 1 10W-30W, would this be correct? Or is something else recommended?
In my Prelude I always used that Castrol GTX Magnatec SEMI Synth stuff due to its extra engine protection stuff and the car ran well on that.

It's all covered in the Technical FAQ.
The short version? 10W-30 is what the manual says to use, but it can be hard to get hold of. 5W-30, 5W-40 or 10W-40 should all be fine.
Mineral oil up to 9,000 miles and/or first service. Synthetic thereafter - ideally fully, I think, but semi should do.
In terms of synth, Shell Helix Ultra is used by a lot of dealers. Mobil One is also in use by a lot of members of the board.

I've Just had my oil change done at Honda. I asked this same question. The guy told me to use Mobil 1 10w 40 or 5w 40.
At the end of the day as long as the oil is of a good quality and you don't mix mineral and synthetic, you will be fine.

I asked what the dealers use in the swindon/Bristol area when getting quotes for my 27,000 mile service. They all seemed to use Castrol GTX magnetec. One garage suggested something else (can't remember the name) at
