Oh well, at least no one has talked about how 'I only ever do my oil filter up hand tight, haven't had a spin off in 30 years of motoring'....

Doh!

i use any branded oil.

currently using magnatec since it was on offer at sainsburys a while ago
also used comma and castrol aswell.

imo, any of the branded stuff will do - halfords (like many others) find it too thin and seems to burn off quicker. not tried it on the s2000 specifically, but previous experience on other cars makes me not buy halfords stuff.

honda oil filter always. no reasoning, just for the sake of

If you mainly use it on track maybe it would be ok.

Why are people using 0w oils though?
Because Mobile 1 only sells 0w 40! not 5w or 10w.

I don't see why it would matter?

I also think it's great that Castrol have called their oil Castrol EDGE Turbo Diesel. My company vehicle now uses it

I use my car regular as an everyday car and do drive it hard now and then but not sure what grade oil to use or what oil filter
what would you suggest?

The car is a 2004 with roughly 32k on the clock

Thanks
I, personally, have started using children's tears. Smooth idle, better gas mileage, and it doesn't break down like regular oil does. The only thing that gets broken down is their spirit.

Shell Helix Ultra Fully Synthetic Stuff. Its going fine. I have my 63K Serivce coming up... can we broden the topic to Gearbox Oil and Diff Oil? I am pretty sure it was changed at the last service... but if it hasnt, whats best to use.

Also, Spark plugs. Anyone got the NGK Code to hand of the best ones to use.
