Nice Post!
Again, Honda recommend this oil for the S2000.
And our ow resident oil expert, Si, has already been through the specs of the oil claiming how it is good to use on petrol engines
I am currently on the 0-40 Edge Sport (Sport means 10bhp extra....
) and it is great.
As was the 5-30 SLX replacement (again, Si praises the 5-30 for meeting some tought VW standards).

Just the weight per se that's recommended for turbo-diesels then? This is a good thing as hard driven VTECs run rich and so soot can form (nothing on the scale of diesels though).
It is diesel purely for marketing and the product profiling decided by marketers in the UK. This formulation is used in Europe and recently it obtained Porsche approval - a petrol only spec.

I think they used to advise it on the CTR, and I agree a lot of dealers were using it on the S but just not sure why.
I didn't think that was what was stated in the manual, and it's generally more suited to very cold climates due to a better flow when cold.
