Just read that thread on the RX8 forum. Erm..."driver aids"? What's he on about?

(He later refers to putting money on future models having DSC so it's not the '06 he's on about at first).

Don't have anything particularly significant to add to the discussion there though, so there's no point me reg'ing or owt.

It amazes me how some people completely miss the point - The S2000 engine shakes & vibrates, it has a bloody great hole in the torque curve just where you need it then, Bang! - all the power comes in all of a sudden and the car reverses into a tree on its own diesel.

The RX-8 unit is a paragon from a future that we will be denied.

(Maybe that re-dresses the balance a bit!)

That the car has a slightly less complete feel than teh S2000 is to be expected, since it is cheaper and not a Honda. Given its price, it is something af a bargain, depreciation notwithstanding. And a lovely drive, too.
