Don't forget you are selling what could be deemed an extravagance. The market is poor for many reasons, on top of which people do not want to borrow or burn savings as the future is not secure.
In addition, most people buy cars on credit and that is tight at the moment too.

Give it a few years and the S2000 will be a very sought after car.
Very much like RS Fords, a well looked after S2000 will always be worth a good amount of money.
Since Honda are changing tack and concentrating on environmental issues, any "Type-R" type car will be much sought after.
But right now? A buyer's market.
