What grease is used on the caliper pins?

I have used in the past:
silicone grease....shit
copper slip........OK
CV grease..........Ok

Ceratec is probably best but I redo mine annually so no problems really.

Ive just refurbed my calipers and used Ceratec on the slide pins as this was most recommended can get it from local motorfactors about £4

You want red rubber grease. Waterproof and compatible with the rubber slider sleeves so will help stop them splitting.

Get decent stuff, some of the ebay stuff isnt what claimed I believe.

Red Rubber gread is also what Honda supply for the brake kits to apply to pistons, they have a orange grease for sliders but not sure why this is different.

Copper slip will ruin the slider sleeves

I used Red Rubber Grease. I was aware not to use Copper Slip.
I would like to thank all who gave me advice, it has been very helpful.

The brake kit also has some clear shinetsu grease for for external rubbers.

I have some shineysu grease that I use for the soft top seals. Thanks again.
